TENAFLY HIGH SCHOOL · FEBRUARY — APRIL 2023
Oklahoma!
My first musical. My role: Slim.
A spring on stage with the cast and live orchestra at Tenafly High School.
01 / MY FIRST MUSICAL
I was Slim.
My director, Mr. AC, gave me the role of Slim: an energetic character with a big voice and a friend of Will Parker. I’m guessing he chose me because I was actually slim.
02 / THE MUSIC
The best seat for the live music.
One of the best things about being in the musical was hearing the live orchestra and the cast’s voices right beside me. Recordings like this performance and this one sound good, but being there was something else.
What stayed with me
I learned that acting wasn’t really my thing, but music definitely was. I started Busking Club so we could perform music at school during lunchtime.
